Protoype 2 – Hunt, Kill, Become Trailer

Here is a really good video of Prototype 2 being discussed by Radical Entertainment’s developers. They mostly discuss new gameplay mechanics. One new mechanic is called Hunting which lets James Heller (protagonist) track down anyone in the open world sandbox the second he gets any information on the person. The trailer shows the mechanic at work and it appears to be a nice addition to the Prototype franchise. Hunting looks fresh and visceral. Its not a simple “put a marker here and go” gameplay element.You can use your pulse to locate a person and leap off a 40 story building directly on top of that person and pummel them. Now tell me that isn’t awesome!

James Heller is a hunted man in a city under a police state. Heller has to figure out who Gen Tech and Blackwatch are and the conspiracies surrounding them. He also has to find out about Alex Mercer and his involvement as well. Blacknet is the encrypted data network that Blackwatch uses for all of their sucure transmissions. Its also why James Heller needs to be around Blackwatch satalite trucks in-game. The gameplay below is in alpha form and looks good for a sandbox game. Prototype 2 is an action game developed by Radical Entertainment and published by THQ for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. It releases 4-24-12. Thanks Gamespot.
